Fashion show at Colours of Ostrava
On 22 July 2023, AUVERSUM was presented at Colours of Ostrava as part of Meltingpot. A look back at the show that combined garments with the digital layer of their prints.
The AUVERSUM collection was presented to the Czech public for the first time at the close of the Colours of Ostrava 2023 festival. The fashion show, held as part of a Meltingpot forum panel, also introduced the audience to the augmented reality hidden in the print of the dresses. After the show, the authors of AUVERSUM, Helena Lukášová and Lada Vyvialová, took part in a debate on sustainable fashion with British designers.
The dresses from the AUVERSUM collection represent an entirely new reality of dressing. They combine virtual technology with visual art. The result is dresses made of a smart material whose technology you can not only see but also control. Participants at CoO were able to try this for the first time on Saturday 22 July at the We are what we wear sustainable fashion panel, thanks to the mobile app AUVERSUMFashion&AR, which is available for both the Android and Apple operating systems.
The magic of the whole of AUVERSUM lies hidden in the nanomaterial, into which Helena Lukášová imprinted her authentic artistic style, concealed in the digital elements of a three-dimensional virtual digital scene whose fragments reveal themselves in augmented reality. The dresses made from this fabric themselves resemble a unique work of art. Its three-dimensionality and virtual form are activated the moment you use a smartphone. Through the mobile app, a world of augmented reality opens up to you, emerging from the dress in front of you.
